When treating acne, the first step is to cleanse the skin. Cleansing removes oil, dirt, and pollution so that the treatment you apply can effectively penetrate. However, cleansing should be performed correctly, with only bare hands, using a featherlight touch for 10 seconds or less. This might seem fast, but any form of skin irritation can make acne worse, so it is vitally important to stay gentle and brief when washing your skin.
This 2.5% benzoyl peroxide treatment is gel-based so it goes on clear and spreads easily. It won’t “clump up” with moisturizers, and won’t turn white when you perspire. It is pharmaceutical grade, pH-balanced, and formulated especially for use with The Acne.org Regimen. Studies show that 2.5% benzoyl peroxide works as well as 10% solutions, without the excessive dryness and irritation.
This generously sized, intensely hydrating lotion eliminates dry skin and flakiness completely while soothing acne-prone skin with licochalcone, an ultra-calming licorice root extract. It has a super-light feel, goes on clear, and absorbs quickly. And, of course, it will not clog pores.
Acne.org AHA+ (Glycolic Acid – 10%)
10% glycolic acid (an alpha hydroxy acid – AHA), powerfully exfoliates the skin, keeping skin cells turning over and pores unclogged. It’s formulated in an ultra-light lotion that goes on clear and spreads easily. Just like Acne.org Moisturizer, Acne.org AHA+ contains licochalcone, an ultra-calming licorice root extract that helps keep acne-prone skin in balance.
Acne.org Organic Jojoba Oil
Jojoba oil is non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores), and has a huge range of uses and benefits. Adding 5-6 drops of jojoba oil into Acne.org Moisturizer will increase hydration and leave the skin feeling smooth.
It can also be used to remove makeup, calm razor burn, treat dandruff, or as a body lotion, hair conditioner, or massage oil.
